City Council Meeting 10.24.23

All council members were in attendance as well as Mayor Sykes. Councilman Green and Mayor Sykes left the meeting at the end of the public hearing, as well as many citizens. Some did however remain for the duration of the meeting and shared again when the council recognized persons in the audience, just before the meeting ended.

Before the public hearing took place, Councilman Bundy spoke to the council stating that he had not been present for the October 2 meeting pertaining to golf course fee increases because the meeting took place during school hours. According to Bundy, this had been approved by that council and that was “fine.” He then stated that he was not able to vote on the discussion due to his absence.
