Hello readers, as indicated on our front page this week, Pride month began on June 1. Pride is an important month for the LGBTQ community every year and provides these individuals with the platform and the support to be who they are and have always been.

As we’ve seen legislation target the rights of many traditionally marginalized groups, the LGBTQ community is no exception. Regardless of who you are or where you come from, there is no job more important, no task more vital, than the staunch defense of other’s basic human rights.
