Sharon Ann Strouse
Sharon Ann Strouse 85 of Mtn Home passed away Thursday March 16th 2023 losing her final battle to cancer.
The illness was able to take her body from us but never took her spirit of independence ,her love for life ,her determination and just plain grit.
She was all that and brave to the very end.
Sharon was born in Twin Falls Idaho in 1937.
She grew up and graduated in Oakland California on June 17 1955
At Castlemont High School.
She was one of three children of Boyd and Ruth Livingston a brother David and sister Deanna.
By 1958 Sharon was married and living in San Diego where she had her first son Richard.
By 1962 Sharon was living in Las Vegas where she had two more sons Timothy and Jason.
By 1976 and now remarried her new husband and the Air Force take her to Mtn Home Idaho where she would spend the next 47 years of her life.
Including a UPS career and retirement.
She loved sewing and her church and in 2007 along with best friend and angel Linda S. and several other members formed Healing Hearts.
A group whose only goal was to sew for charity. They made lap quilts for cancer patients, pillow cases for hospital PED units, quilts for veteran’s homes and dog and cat pillows for the animal shelter.
And in 2019 84 quilts were made and donated.
Sharon was an excellent seamstress and her table runners, placemats and quilts were well known and admired at all the bazaars and events she attended.
Sharon is survived by three sons Richard, Timothy, and Jason. And five grandchildren, Ryan, Emma, Cole, Carter and Kylie And faithful kitty Romeo.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dave , both parents and sister Deanna.
She will be dearly missed and long remembered.
