Yon Ae (Mi Jin) Jackson

Yon Ae (Mi Jin) Jackson, age 67, of Mountain Home passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, in Boise from heart failure. She was surrounded by family and close friends, including her dedicated husband of 36 years, Richard Jackson, and daughter Jennifer Jackson as she left this earth to be with her Heavenly Father. A memorial service will be held at the All-In Church on Friday, February 10, 2023, at 10:30 A.M. Cremation is under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Mi Jin was born to Hae Un Kim and Chom Ye Yu in Chonam South Korea on March 8, 1955, and was one of 3 children. She was a wonderful mother to 3 children: Jennifer, Jeremy, and Steven and grandmother to Cash, Hailey, and Kyler.

Her generous spirit and kindness touched so many. Her home and heart were open to all, and she was best known to be the caretaker of her friends and family. Although she became a U.S. Citizen in 2010, she was proud of her Korean heritage. She was an active member in her Korean church and associations. She made a significant impact by creating a place of community for Koreans in the area and honoring the culture.

She was a devoted mother, wife, and friend. She loved cooking, tending to her brilliant display of flowers, spoiling her grandchildren, playing bingo, and singing karaoke. She was a beautiful singer, and all were welcome to join her in song. She now rests in Heaven singing and dancing with the Lord.
