Two arrested in death of infant

Recent Arrest Records reported in the Mountain Home News and subsequent research of Public Court Documents obtained by the paper show the arrest of Tera Hathaway and John Hopkins, both residents of Mountain Home, arrested on charges of Felony Injury to a Child, I.C. §18-1501(1) for an incident that occurred on Jan 5th 2023. Both individuals were arraigned in Elmore County the following day and appointed a public defender. The Affidavit for Probable Cause for Arrest for Tera Hathaway identifies her as the mother, and as the individual who called the police reporting injury to an 18-month-old male child that was bleeding and unresponsive.
