Christian Michael Postema

Christian Michael Postema, age 15, of Mountain Home, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2023. Christian’s ashes were laid to rest on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2023 at Mountain View Cemetery. Cremation was under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Christian was born August 27, 2007, on Mountain Home AFB to Nathan Postema and Angela Fienberg.

Christian attended school in the Mountain Home School District from Kindergarten through his 10th grade year. As a child, Christian loved Legos, stuffed animals and everything in nature. He briefly played soccer but found his real passion in Band playing the flute.

Christian was a kind, peaceful, gentle and quiet soul; so quiet that his mom’s nickname for him was “Cricket”. He cherished all his friends. Christian greatly loved to spend his time with his best bud who was also his big brother and was adored by his three sisters. He will be missed by all, but by none more than his mom, dad and step parents.

Christian is survived by his mom Angela and step dad Paul Schumacher, his Dad Nathan and Step mom Tekinah Postema, his brother and best friend Joshua and 3 sisters Krissie, Carly and Natalie.

Christian is preceded in death by is paternal great grandmother Helga Hruza and maternal grandfather Duane Jennings, Sr.

Memorial contributions can be made in Christian’s name to the Mountain Home High School Band.
