'Tis the season for Boise National Forest Christmas tree permits!

Permits are also available for purchase from forest vendors and Ranger Districts

BOISE, Idaho, November 15, 2022 -- Beginning Nov. 19, Christmas tree permits will be available to purchase from vendors and at Ranger District offices. Christmas tree cutting is allowed between Nov. 19 - Dec. 25. For added convenience, Christmas tree permits are available for purchase online at Recreation.gov. Each Christmas tree permit allows up to 3 trees to be cut per family at $10 per tree. All purchased permits are for personal use and only valid on the Boise National Forest. Permits are nonrefundable and the purchaser must be at least 18 years in age.
