June Rose Taylor - 89, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home on Saturday, May 21st, 2022.

She was born June 23rd, 1932, the first child of Orie and Vera Ware. She was born at her grandmother’s home in Salubria Valley, an area near Cambridge, Idaho.

She and her sisters, Barbara and Phyllis, grew up in Indian Valley, Idaho. She graduated from Cambridge High School.

She met her future husband, Homer, at a picnic on the Weiser River. She first thought he was a dork because he wore corduroy pants, but love blossomed and they were married in 1950. They lived in Stibnite where their son Phil was born in 1951. They moved to Mountain Home in 1953 where Mike, Becky, and Cindy were born. June was the secretary at East Elementary for over 30 years.

June loved to garden. Flowers, vegetables, fruit. She kept everyone in fresh raspberries, frozen raspberries, raspberry jam. She also kept everyone in empty cottage cheese containers. Good for berries, seeds, worms, scooping, nails, you name it. She loved to read. A good vacation or day trip included sitting on the bank reading while Homer fished. No matter how many books she already had, she couldn’t pass up a good library book sale. She was old school and liked to be prepared. So far, we have found 3 cookie tins in 3 various places with cash in them. Thanks, Mom!

In death June has joined her husband, Homer; her son, Phil; her mom and dad; and her sister, Barbara.

Her family includes her sister, Phyllis (Jerry) Widner; son, Mike (Kris) Taylor; daughter, Becky (Kraig) Kinzer; and her daughter, Cindy (Lynn) Hall. Her grandchildren (the apples of her eye) include Eric (Amy Park) Taylor, Jamie (Tony) McDaniel, Michelle (Dan) Wise, Kara (Jesse) Fannan, and Sam Hall. Her darling great-grandchildren are Rafe Taylor, Dyllan Taylor, Kenna Taylor, Regan McDaniel, Cade McDaniel, and Harley Fannan. She also has numerous nieces and nephews.

Mom didn’t wish to have a service and her ashes, along with Dad’s, will be interred by her children at the Indian Valley Cemetery.

In memory of mom, hug someone you love.
