Shirley Jean Stackle

Shirley Jean Stackle, age 90, of Mountain Home, passed away at a local care center on March 5, 2022. Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM, on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Mountain View Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Shirley was born in Johnstown, Nebraska on September 23, 1931, to Harley and Irene (Crawford) Pate. In 1946, the family moved to Richfield, Idaho. She graduated in 1949, and married Ronald Peak in 1950. He joined the US Air Force in 1951. They were stationed in Texas, California, and transferred to Mountain Home Air Force Base. Ronald died in 1972 from results of a car accident. Shirley later married Gerald E. Stackle. He passed away in November 2004.

Shirley was employed at Elmore Medical Center for 26 years.

Shirley is survived by her children Becky Styhl of Idaho Falls, Rick Peak of Hammett, Rory (Corky) Peak of Mountain Home, and Timmy Peak of Boise. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, one son Ronald “Rusty” Peak, grandsons Jeremy and Rory, Jr.
