Sports Update

District Boys Basketball- Home Feb 22, 2022

Our #4 seeded varsity BBB team was defeated by #1 seed Jerome last Thursday. They now move on to play #6 seed Canyon Ridge in the third-round. This game will be played on Tuesday Feb. 22nd TONIGHT at 7PM here at Mtn. Home High School.

District Varsity Wrestling:

After the at large bids were decided on Sunday Feb 20th, Mtn. Home ended up picking up 2 more wrestlers heading to state. Congratulation to Bryson Hanson and Wesley Hodges both will be moving on to state!

Our varsity wrestling team competed today at the district wrestling tournament in Burley. We ended up with 6 wrestlers moving on to the state tournament, thus far. We may get some additional wrestlers through to state after the state seeding meeting on Sunday.

The state tournament will take place on Feb. 25 & 26 @ Holt Arena in Pocatello. Good luck to our wrestlers!

Gabe Martinez placed 1st at 98 pounds. Moving on to state!

Daniel Martinez placed 1st at 106 pounds. Moving on to state!

Makayla Munoz Placed 1st at 113 pounds. Moving on to state!

Anjolina Espinoza Placed 1st at 138 pounds. Moving on to state!

Amie Hartman Placed 1st at 285 pounds. Moving on to state!

Carlos Garcia placed 2nd at 145 pounds. Moving on to state!

Bryson Hanson placed 4th at 160 pounds. Moving on to state!

Wesley Hodges placed 6th at 182 pounds. Moving on to state!
