Firefighters respond to structure fire

At approximately 1:30 pm on Wednesday, the 2nd, first responders from the City of Mountain Home Fire Department, Police, Elmore County Sheriff, and EMS were on the scene of a duplex fire. The home was a total loss. According to firefighters, it was a fast-moving fire. Fire Chief Mark Moore stated that “the cause is undetermined at this time” The State Fire Marshal was coming in from Boise to do an in-depth investigation and was going to work on a determination and cause. The residents were moved to a local hotel and Chief Moore said that the families were being put up in the hotel through the Fire Department burn fund.
