If I’m being totally honest, I had thought “getting involved with the community” was just a string of words to get me to leave the house. In high school I hadn’t really seen the city, didn’t know how things were ran or even where City Hall was located. I could point to Mountain Home on a map, sure, but I didn’t bother to look into it beyond that.
