Eileen Swenson

Eileen Swenson, age 82, of Mountain Home, passed away at her home on November 25, 2020. A celebration of her life will be held at 3:00pm, on Saturday, December 5, 2020, at Mountain View Cemetery. Cremation was under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Eileen was born and raised in Bruneau with two sisters and a brother. For many years she ran an in home day care and then went on to be a cook at North Elementary in Mountain Home. Every kid she fed through the lunch line knew her for her delicious cinnamon rolls.

Eileen was also known for being the “Honking Grandma” at baseball games and hardly ever missed a game. She was always there cheering on the team!

Eileen also never knew a stranger! She had a heart of gold and lived a good long life. She loved all of her family and friends very much!

Eileen was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Swenson, son David Swenson, brother Jim Hampton, sister Etta Avril, and her parents James and Florence Hampton.

She is survived by her daughter Della Legget, son Doug Swenson, sister Lois Rivers and her grandchildren; James, Raymond, Curtis, Angel and Robbie Swenson, Matthew Swenson, Derek, Crystal, Nick and Austin Leggett, Nathan West and also by her 10 great-grandchildren
