Dear Parents of Richard McKenna Charter Schools students

It has been reported to us that one or more of our elementary students have been exposed to the Covid-19 virus by a famil y member that did test positive for the vi rus. These students are quarantined and are being monitored.

Due to the risk involved in Spreading this virus, Richard McKenna Charter School s will close beginning on March 16, 2020 through our scheduled Spring Break March 29, 2020 for cleaning and disinfecting the buildings.Students will transition to online learning during this time which will be required. Updates wi ll be provided as we get more information.

Please contact the office at your student's school via email if your chi ld displays symptoms of the virus and has been checked by the appropriate health authorities. Your student s teacher will provide work for your child during the closure to help them to stay on track. Students/Parents will be required to contact student's teacher daily for attendance purposes. Please watch for information from your student's teacher for how wi ll be the best way for them to be contacted, Facebook, Google Classroom, etc.

We will reevaluate the information that is available during Spring Break to determine if there be a requirement for more days out of school. Please know that we will do our best for our students.staff, and community during this ti me. We appreciate your help and support during this time.
