MHHS students tour the Capitol in Boise
Mountain Home High School students from Mr. Bundy’s Boise State concurrent credit American Government class had the opportunity to go to the Capitol and observe the legislative process up close and personal. The day started on the garden level of the Capitol where the students saw the state emblem with the Latin motto Esto perpetua meaning “May it endure forever.” The group walked through the House Wing first and peeked in on some House Committee meetings. As the group walked through the Senate Wing, one of the students found a picture of his Grandfather on the wall. Caiden Ash found the picture of his grandfather, Robert M. Rowett. Senator Rowett is pictured with the 39th session of The Idaho Senate in 1967, District 19, Mountain Home.
