Thirteen students from the Mountain Home FFA Chapter traveled to Melba High School on February 26 to compete in the Floriculture and Agriculture Sales competition. Morgan Spies, Kamryn Orr, Ashley Clark, Matilynn Pierson and Lyndz Higgins, and Shaleah Lasuen competed in Floriculture. This competition required students to take three tests; plant identification, plant problem solving, and a floriculture knowledge test. These six student also had to make a wrist corsage and a round floral centerpiece in a short period of time at which they would be judged and given an overall score on. The team would like to thank Trinity Mountain Floral for helping coach the team. Dylan Runyan, Tucker Blanksma, Elizabeth Bearden, Elisa Agner, and Grace Shieler competed in the Agriculture Sales Competition. Dylan and Tucker had to pick a agriculture product and give a sales pitch to judges. Elizabeth, Elisa and Grace competed in customer relations answering questions about Miller welders for potential buyers.
