City holds public hearings on MHFD fees, and Beer and Wine Licensing fees
On September 9, the Mountain Home City Council met for their regularly scheduled meeting.
Once a quoram was established with all Councilman present, Mayor Rich Sykes opened a public hearing for new fees for special events needing fire security from MHFP personnel. The hearing was to establish a fee if an event needs the presence of firefighters. Having the department present for an event is not a requirement by the City's insurance, but it may be a requirement of the event's insurance. If that is the case the event holder would have to approach the City and would be required to pay the fee.
"The intent is to be able to provide the service and to know that there isn't expenses that come with it," said Fire Chief Mark Moore.
