Concert in the Park continues on Friday
The Mountain Home Summer Concert Series, hosted by the Mountain Home Arts Council and Parks & Rec., continues this Friday, July 19, at Carl Miller Park, with folksinger-songwriter Tracy Morrison and her all-star band. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy an evening of live music for all ages, art & vendor booths, and food & beverage booths.
Tracy Morrison is known for showcasing traditional country/early blues and writing powerful laments, and historical story songs. She has opened for world renowned musician-songwriters, Tish Hinojosa and Mary Cutrufello, shared the stage with guitar virtuoso, Sergio Webb and created studio recordings with Pinto Bennett. Her latest album “Heirloom” (2018) was produced by multi-instrumentalist, composer and songwriter, Thomas Paul. Morrison will be backed by an all-star band consisting of Don Parsons (drums/percussion), Bill Parsons (bass fiddle), Rob Matson (guitar/vocals) & Ben Burdick (guitar).
On deck for the Series are Shakespeare in the Park, The Tempest, by the Boise Bard Players, and Art in the Park (July 26); blues band The Hoochie Coochie Men (August 2); and Boise area’s longest-running classic rock group The Mystics (August 9).
