County Commissioner update
On March 1st the Elmore County Commissioners met to discuss the Stryker Lift System and heard a proposal from The City of Mountain Home for a roundabout at 8th St. and American Legion Blvd.
The approval of sole source procurement for Stryker Ambulance Lift System was discussed among the Board of County Commissioners. Alan Roberts, with Search and Rescue, suggested that the board approve that all five ambulances get the Stryker Lift System rather then ordering just three and then having to order the other two later. If they order all five at once there is a discount offered. The total for all five load systems and upgrades will cost $121,071.84. There will be $1,800 in savings from purchasing all five at the same time. There will be some installation cost, but the amount was not available. The Lift System kits will stay in the property of the County, so in the future when new ambulances must be purchased, they can continue to use these kits rather then having to purchase more. The motion to purchase all five load systems and upgrades for $121,071.84 was passed unanimously by the Commissioners.
