Hacker Middle School holds annual Science Fair
The Hacker Middle School Science Fair is a right of passage for kids growing up in the Mountain Home School District.
The annual event was open to the public to view the science projects on the afternoon of Feb. 8.
You can learn a lot by attending this yearly event with the great questions of this century being answered. This year’s projects covered critical questions, such as, what brand of coffee mug keeps coffee the hottest for 12 hours (Thermos), what cleans pennies the best (hot sauce) and which type of sugar makes the best sugar crystal rock candy (raw) or if smell affects taste (probably).
It was a crowded gym as people made their way up and down the rows looking at projects that included homemade wind turbines, volcanoes and a wide assortment of other pieces of scientific creativity.
