Robert Lewis Gomez
Robert Lewis Gomez, 31, of Mountain Home, passed away on 01/22/2019 at Saint Alphonsus Medical Center. Robert was born on 08/02/1987 to Karyn Dunda and Armando Gomez in Boise, Idaho.
Robert was passionate about everything he did in life. This was evident in his work as a carpenter and through his many hobbies. He was a talented golfer and enjoyed camping, playing cards and spending time with his loved ones and friends but his biggest passion in life was being on the water with just him and his fishing pole.
Robert was a true friend to his friends and loved his family deeply - ready and willing at a moments notice for anyone in need. He truly was the type of guy to give you the shirt off his back or give you his last five dollars. Roberts final act of kindness was restoring life’s promise to eight recipients through his tissue and organ donation.
Although only 31 at the time of his death Robert affected many people in his lifetime. His absence will be noticed, but his memory will live on in the hearts and minds of his loved ones and friends.
He is survived by his parents Karyn Dunda and Armando Gomez and step-father David Lyle Evans, his maternal grandparents Cliff and Diane Dunda, his paternal grandparents Brent and Olga Gonzalez, his brothers Caleb Evans, Steven Gomez and Garrett Williams and his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 26th at Rost Funeral Home. The family would like to thank everyone who attended as well as those who couldn’t attend for their kind words, generosity and support through this difficult time.
