Richard G. Anderson

Richard G. Anderson, age 70, of Mountain Home, passed away on Monday, September 24, 2018, at St. Alphonsus Hospital in Boise. A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mtn Home. Inurnment with military honors will be held at 1:00 PM, on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, in Boise.

Richard was born April 14, 1948, in Portland, Oregon, the son of Robert Anderson and Geraldine Ackerman. He attended Lincoln High School in Portland. Richard joined the US Air Force, and served from 1968 to 1990, and was a Vietnam Veteran. He retired from the Air Force, at Mountain Home, Air Force Base, as a Master Sergeant. He also received two associate degrees from Boise State University.

Richard enjoyed reading, music, and food. He like fishing with his grandson Joshua, and played in both the Mountain Home pool and dart leagues.

Richard is survived by his wife Agnes Anderson of Mtn Home, daughter Amy (Mikel Connell) Romine of Nampa, a brother Duane (Kathy) Anderson of Alabama, grandson Joshua Romine of Nampa, step daughters Michelle Vigil of Maine, Kelly Norton, and Tara Venturino of New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents.
