Be on the look out for the 2018 AFAD Magazine!!

September 8th is the 58th annual Air Force Appreciation Day parade and events. We will have copies of our full color annual AFAD magazine with some history of Mountain Home Air Force Base and the AFAD event itself available in the park. There is a coloring page for the kids. If you want to share them with us at the paper we would love to have them and you just might see one published in the paper! This special edition is made possible by the advertisers within this 24 page edition. Don't forget to thank and shake the hands of our proud military veterans. Not only do we have our military neighbors The Gunfighters but we are the home to a large retired military family of all services. This day is all about them and Mountain Homes' tradition of honoring them.

Don't forget to pickup a copy of the September 5th edition of the Mountain Home News where we will have the parade line up sponsored by again a few of our amazing local advertisers. These spaces are limited and we thank you for your partnerships. It looks like a busy weekend with something for everyone and I hope everyone is excited. We cannot forget to thank the enormous amount of volunteers that make AFAD what it is. There are so many behind the scene participants and their reward is the smiles and applauds along the parade route and all the activities before and during the day and of course lunch for your enjoyment.
