City Council addresses recycling fees
The June 11 meeting of the Mountain Home City Council became an international affair with Councilman Matt Bundy phoning in from Germany where he is currently in educator mode with a group of high school age students from Mountain Home. Councilman Daniel Brennan was also present over the phone since he was in Alaska during the meeting.
At the beginning of the meeting Charles Nickelson addressed the council and Mayor Rich Sykes. Nickelson does not live in the city limits, but lives right outside of town in the city impact area. Nickelson came to the meeting to ask the city if they were aware of fact that Simplot is currently building corrals out near Exit 90. He has heard that the corrals are intended to hold 5,000 head of cattle.
Nickelson is concerned that the town is "going to turn into another Grand View."For the full story, pick up a copy of the Mountain Home News or click on this link to subscribe to the newspaper's online edition.
