Ruth Steckelberg

Oct. 3, 1921 – Jan. 2, 2018

Ruth Marie (Pipal) Steckelberg, 96, of Mountain Home, Idaho passed away on Jan. 2, 2018 after a lengthy illness.

She was born on a farm near Kimball, SD and spent most of her life at Chamberlain, SD and later at Mountain Home. In 1941, she married Lyle Steckelberg and raised 4 children: Douglas, Sharon, Robert & Larry.

In 1990, Ruth moved to Mountain Home to be near her three sons and extended family. She LOVED spending time with her kids, granddaughter & grandsons and exploring the majestic beauty of Idaho.

Ruth was a member of the United Church of Christ and enjoyed bible study & the ladies group meetings.

She enjoyed her duplex apartment for 24 years before moving to assisted living and enjoying her friends at Aarenbrooke Place for 4 years.

At her request, a Celebration of Life will be held during warmer weather. Rost Funeral Home handled arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be donated to a local church or senior citizen center.
