William Crumbliss
William “Bill” Leroy Crumbliss, beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend passed away Jan. 11, 2018 at 52 with his wife at his side. Services will be held Friday, Jan. 19, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 790 S. Haskett.
Bill was born in Iola, KS on Aug. 23, 1965, to Ernest Leroy Crumbliss and Artha DuRell “D” Parsons. After his father’s passing in 1970, Bill and his mother moved to Arkansas to be near his aunt.
Then, in the early 1980’s, Bill’s uncle (Bill Hardy) convinced the family to move closer to him in Washington State. There he attended both North Thurston and Olympia High Schools.
After graduation Bill served a two year mission in Micronesia-Guam. Upon his return, he met the love of his life Becki Lynn Gifford. They married on July 30, 1987 and celebrated 30 years of marriage in 2017.
Bill was an accomplished mechanic certified in auto, diesel, and marine technology, a gifted carpenter and loved woodworking. He was an avid fisherman, gun collector and loved the outdoors.
His love for animals has always been a big part of his life. Between his dogs and horses, there was always an animal to love and care for.
Following a stroke in late 2011, his health began deteriorating. His commitment to being strong for his family kept him on this earth longer than many would have thought possible.
Bill is survived by his wife Becki, daughters Kimberly Crumbliss, Kit Farrell, Karlie Crumbliss, and AnaLynn Crumbliss, mother “D” Parsons, siblings Teresa Obenauf, James Crumbliss, Richard Crumbliss, and Clint Smith, and grandchildren AnaLynn Crumbliss, Logan Crumbliss, Ezmae Farrell, and Christopher Farrell.
He was preceded in death by his father Ernest Crumbliss, step father F.W. Parsons, and beloved Uncle Bill Hardy.
