Health clinic awarded grant to fight opioid epidemic

Opioid addiction is in local and national news on an almost daily basis. In October of this year, President Donald J. Trump declared the opioid crisis a public health emergency.
The Glenns Ferry Health Center, GFHC, has recently been awarded a $175,000 grant by the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration to help fight opioid addiction in Elmore and Owyhee counties. $75,000 of the grant will be awarded on an ongoing basis, annually.
