Albert Morgan
Albert H. Morgan, 87, of Mountain Home, passed away July 18, 2017, with his family by his side. Al was born April 3, 1930, in Toledo, Ore., where he lived with his parents, Joseph and Eva Morgan.
He graduated from Taft High School in Lincoln City, Ore. Al was married to Joyce (Sutton) Reller (Deceased).
He had one brother, Jack Morgan of Keizer, Ore.; four children, Marty (deceased); Kathy Humphreys of Salem, Ore.; Mike Morgan from Talequah, Okla.; and Sandy Kastner of Mountain Home; four grandchildren, Keith Morgan of Vancouver, Wash.; Megan Mathews from Boise; Ryan Mathews of Johnson City, Tenn.; and Kyle Humphreys from Salem, Ore.; and one great-grandchild, Zainab Morgan of Vancouver, Wash.
In 1951, Al joined the U.S. Army, where he spent three years as a radio repairman. Al lived in Lincoln City, Ore.; Salem, Ore.; and for the last 20 years in Mountain Home.
Al was a voracious reader and loved to try new things. The best way to describe him was a jack-of-all-trades.
Three of his favorites were wood- and metalworking and photography. For years, he was seen every weekend at yard sales, where he loved to talk with people.
Al was involved through the years with the Master Gardeners and was a member of the Elmore County Amateur Radio Club, where he enjoyed his lifelong passion of amateur radio. He was known by his call sign WA7ZAF for many years.
Al will be missed by friends and many family in many states. No formal services will be held. Cremation was under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home.
