Library friends offer thanks
Dear editor,
The Friends of the Mountain Home Public Library would like to thank all of our patrons who came to our recent book sale on May 12 and 13. We had over 100 customers and made nearly $350 for library programs.
We will be able to help the Mountain Home Public Library fund several summer programs, including "Growing Gardeners" at 2 p.m. June 10 with pre-registration required, Career Night from 6 to 8 p.m. June 15 and the Summer Reading Program from June 5 to July 20.
The Friends will be buying three Firestorm Bikes and three Razor Scooters as kids' prizes for the Summer Reading Program, and we will help fund the Elmore County Hispanic Organization Dancers and Danza Azteca Quetzacoaaltl performances during Career Night. The Friends will also be sponsoring the American Girl Tea Party and the Dangerous Day for Boys on Saturday, Aug. 19. Please contact the Mountain Home Public Library at 587-4716 for details on these upcoming programs.
Again, our thanks to the many people in Mountain Home and Elmore County who donate books for our book sales and to the many folks who buy books from our Book Nook and our book sales. Books may be donated at the Library during regular weekly hours.
All proceeds from donated books go directly to help fund library programs. Thank you again!
