WECRD narrows selection for new representative

The Western Elmore County Recreation District board of directors narrowed its selection on who will fill a seat that's remained vacant for more than four months during a meeting May 24.

Dave Kellerman, a local business owner, Air Force veteran and member of the Mountain Home Elks Lodge, was one of three people under consideration to fill director Connie Clark's seat after she resigned Feb. 14.

Clark cited threats of boycotts aimed at the company where she works as the reason why she resigned, according to the letter she presented to the board last February.
