Curtis Jackson Jr.
Curtis Noel Jackson Jr. (affectionately known as CJ) passed away Monday, May 1, 2017, in Pocatello, Idaho. A viewing will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday, May 8, 2017, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
On Tuesday, May 9, 2017, a viewing will be held at 9 a.m. with funeral services at 11 a.m. at the Mountain Home Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Dry Creek Cemetery in Boise.
Curtis was born May 2, 1993, at Beale Air Force Base, Marysville, Calif. He was the oldest of two children of Curtis and Margot Jackson. Curtis attended Mountain Home Senior High School and Idaho State University majoring in Sports Science.
Curtis was an avid lover of many sports, but his true passion was for the game of football. He started playing flag football with Optimist at age nine and continued playing the game through his high school years.
He was a recipient of the El Korah Shrine East-West All Star Award in 2010. Curtis also played the tenor saxophone and was a member of the high school jazz band.
Curtis was an amazing, easy-going young man with a warm, loving heart, beautiful, bright smile and a great sense of humor. He was the kind of person that anyone would be proud to call son, grandson, brother, friend, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Curtis leaves to celebrate his life his father, Curtis Jackson Sr.; his mother, Margot Jackson; his sister, Kristan Jackson; his grandmother, Christina Jackson; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and loved ones, all of whom his life has greatly impacted.
