Lions Club District Governor Dennis Burks and Mountain Home Lions Club President Bob Ebbs join Mayor Rich Sykes and city hall staff members as he prepares to sign a proclamation making 2017 the Year of the Lions in Mountain Home. The proclamation comes as the national organization prepares to celebrate its 100th anniversary. Since it was charted in 1969, the Lions Club in Idaho has distributed more than 65,000 pairs of glasses and provided vision screenings for more than 30,000 students.
