Crash sends one to hospital

Members of the Elmore County Extrication Team work to remove the passenger side door of a mini van to free the woman trapped inside as emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of North 2nd East Street and American Legion Boulevard on Monday. According to Police Lt. Ron Harmon from the Mountain Home Police Department, the drivers of both vehicles drove into the intersection at the same time, both thinking they had the right of way. The northbound truck then struck the van. A woman passenger was taken by ambulance to St. Luke's Elmore Medical Center with unknown injuries.
