Kenneth Heinly
Kenneth Leroy Heinly, 84, of Mountain Home, passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at a care center in Mountain Home. On Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, a viewing will be held at 5 p.m. followed by a 6 p.m. Rosary.
A funeral Mass will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at Our Lady of Good Counsel, and burial with military honors will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Mountain Home.
Kenneth was born Nov. 4, 1932, in Ashland, Pa., and raised in Frackville, Pa. He was the son of Charles and Pearl (Lucas) Heinly.
He joined the U.S. Air Force and retired at Mountain Home Air Force Base in 1973 as a Tech Sergeant. He married Ruth Harbaugh Harris in 1976. Kenneth was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Elks and the American Legion.
Kenneth is survived by his sister, Elmyria Sonan of Pennsylvania; his stepson, Bruce Harris of Mississippi; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Ruth, grandparents, four brothers and two sisters.
