City seeing signs of economic improvement

The possibility of adding four franchise restaurants on the north end of Mountain Home highlighted a year of continued improvement to the local economy, according to the city's economic development office.

The past 12 months represented "an extremely busy year" with the coming year expected to be even busier, said Paula Riggs, who heads the city department.
