David will be laid to rest with military honors, at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 17, 2017, at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery in Boise.
David was born July 28, 1934, in Hinton, Iowa. He married Clarice Longtine on Jan. 11, 1958. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1955 to 1976. He spent numerous years in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, keeping our aircraft flying while serving as a Jet Aircraft Maintenance Foreman.

When not working, David's passion was anything to do with the great outdoors. He liked to hunt, fish and camp every chance he had. Any time left was dedicated to friends and family. One of his recent most enjoyable times was going out on the pontoon boat with the grandkids, which were a true love of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Mae Dena; father and mother in-law Alfred (Freddie) and Doris Longtine; three brothers, Bob, Donald and Tommy; one sister, Eleanor (Delance); and one great-granddaughter.
