Police officers honored for acts of heroism

Officer Russell Griggs
A Mountain Home police officer earned the department's highest honor as city officials paused to honor other officers for similar life-saving acts during a ceremony Jan. 9.
Sgt. Russell Griggs received the Award of Valor for his actions on Sept. 16, 2016, in which he entered a burning home to help rescue a elderly woman trapped inside.
