Longest night event slated

Grace Lutheran Church holds a Longest Night Service at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, at the church, 2422 American Legion Blvd. This is a service of prayer and healing.

Unfortunately, not everyone feels hopeful or like celebrating during this season, church officials said. Grief, illness, aging, depression, loneliness and loss may be magnified in the midst of all the holiday preparations.
