Local political forums slated

A pair of upcoming forums will give people in the Mountain Home community the opportunity to meet with candidates running for county and state offices during the November general elections.

An election forum begins at 6 p.m. Oct. 11 at the Mountain Home Senior Center. Free and open to the public, the list of scheduled candidates wasn't immediately known.

Meanwhile, the Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce holds a separate political forum Oct. 18. The event runs from 6 to 8 p.m. that evening at the Mountain Home Elks Lodge.

Those invited to the forum at the lodge include candidates running for county sheriff and county prosecutor along with those running for state representative and state senate seats for District 23, which encompasses Elmore County. For more information, call the chamber office at 587-4334.
