Labor dept. briefing outlines county's economic future

A projected loss of nearly 1,000 workers and the expected addition of nearly 1,600 jobs in Elmore County could represent significant challenges to the local economy over the next 10 years, according to findings released Thursday by the Idaho Department of Labor.

Representatives from the state agency met with city and county leaders and others from the Mountain Home area during an economic development briefing held at city hall.
