Shelly Dodge
Shelly Renee Miller Dodge, age 31, passed away while being comforted by her husband and son on July 31, 2016, at the Salt Lake Burn Center. A celebration of life will be held at the Mountain Home Church of Nazarene, 950 North 7th East St., on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016 at 2 p.m. Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
Shelly was born March 5, 1985, in Boise. She was the only daughter of Pamela Miller and Stephen Miller. Shelly danced through life with a smile on her face and a laugh that you could never forget.
Even at her darkest time, her humor would shine through. Shelly enjoyed life. She had a way of making people feel loved, and on June 11, 2005, she married the love of her life, Matthew Dodge. The next 11 years were filled with love, laughter and teamwork.
Her family was the center of her world. She enjoyed her time with them fishing, hunting, swimming, camping or floating the river. You could see the excitement on her face when she hooked the big one -- the rush when she floated over the rapids and the peace she felt sitting around a campfire.
Where ever she was, you would see her Chihuahuas, but her greatest passion was her son, Allen Miller. She treasured every moment with him. When you saw them together, you saw pure love.
She is survived by her husband, Matthew Dodge; son, Allen Thomas Miller; mother, Pamela Miller; father, Stephen Miller; brothers Russel Davis and Adrian Richards; many nieces and nephews; and her grandmother, Donna Barbor. Shelly is preceded in death by her grandpa, Pete Barbor, and her stepdad, Bruce Richards.
In her memory, our family asks you to take a moment and hug a loved one, take a day and take your family fishing and take the time to tell someone you love them.
