School district seeks voter support to extend local supplemental levy

A provision in the supplemental levy request being introduced by the Mountain Home School District would eliminate fees students pay to participate in classes provided at Mountain Home High School and other district schools.

The Mountain Home School District will ask local voters to extend a supplemental levy to maintain day-to-day operations when people go to the polls during elections scheduled for May 17.

The levy would be good for two years and raise $2.7 million a year to maintain the school district's existing programs.

  • So cut the programs if you won't have the money to pay for them. Then go ask the WERCD to fund all the school sports.

    Again with hands out but no real budget or plan to live within the current budget. I say enough is enough with MHSD reaching into my checking account every year.
