Local businessman Jim Carrie has planned to turn a 65-acre plot of land into a 53 home subdivision located just northwest of Mountain Home for more than 1 1/2 years. Those plans stalled due, in part, to a county mandated minimum lot size and community well water requirements on the development.

The subdivision approval issue took a sideways step at Friday's reconsideration public hearing when Carrie walked out without testifying shortly after the meeting opened.
