City, county must do more to shape WECRD's direction
Dear editor,
This is an open letter to the City of Mountain Home, Elmore County, Economic Development Office, Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Business Association and WECRD.
I am encouraging all entities, individually and collectively, to influence the current directors of the WECRD in all aspects of its operation, legally and morally, ensuring that the directors of the WECRD are strictly following Idaho Code and open meeting laws.
Take charge of the WECRD within your own powers. I can see each of your organizations and entities coming together, bringing your own resources and contributions. Each of you has access to lawyers. Each of you has access to grants.
Collectively, you represent a formidable power. It is very important that you, as entities and organizations enter into decisions involving millions of tax dollars and ensure that the right thing is done for our community.
Personally, I do not have faith in the new directors of the WECRD at this time. A director of any organization should be encouraging and promoting the organization that they are in charge of; not tearing it down. They certainly are not thinking of the future of our community.
If the current directors are allowed to continue, it will go down as one of the saddest and disappointing events to ever happen to Elmore County and Mountain Home.
This comes from my mind and my heart.
