Student earns American Legion's state speech honor

A student from Meridian took home a state title after winning the American Legion's state speech contest, held Saturday at War Memorial Hall in Mountain Home.
Quentin Frederick also pocketed more than $1,000 in prize money for his presentation titled, "The Constitution's Greatest Asset."
Frederick will now face off against more than 50 other students from across the United States and its territories during the Legion's national-level event.
