Gas prices across state fell to lowest levels since 2009

Drivers in Mountain Home and cities across the state paid an average of $2.51 for a gallon of regular grade gasoline in 2015, representing the lowest that people paid in nearly six years, according to a report released last week by AAA Idaho.
Just a year earlier, Idahoans paid an average price of $3.40 per gallon, which was seven cents above the national average.
The state organization credited cheap, abundant oil for a windfall that saved Americans up to $115 billion at the pump last year. It represented a savings of more than $550 for every licensed driver.
