Jacqueline Futch
Jacqueline (Jackie) Arlene Klett Futch, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, died peacefully surrounded by those she loved Jan. 7, 2016, at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center. She was 82 years old.
Jackie was born in Everett, Wash., on April 18, 1933, to William George and Frieda Klett. Jackie's family lovingly referred to her as the Babe.
Jackie was an amazing cook, homemaker and loved to garden. She had the most beautiful flower beds around. She also did beautiful work with her hands, such as crocheting, sewing, and knitting. Anyone who came to visit Jackie left with handmade pot holders in hand.
Jackie met George Otis Futch, Jr (deceased) in Everett, Wash., where he was in the U.S. Air Force. They married on April 16, 1953.
Jackie and George traveled far and wide while serving 28 years in the U.S. Air Force. They made many friends during their travels.
Some of her children's fondest memories were visits from grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Their families made it a priority to visit them at most duty stations. Jackie's final home became Mountain Home in December 1976, where she resided until her death.
She is survived by her three children, Debora Coil of O'Fallon Ill.; Thomas Futch II of Mountain Home; and Lisa Boyce and Harold of Abilene, Texas. Also surviving her is her brother, Robert Klett and wife Judy of Snohomish, Wash. She has eight grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the Elks Lodge and the Elkettes for their loving support now and in years past and all those that have loved and cared for Jackie over the last several years.
Jackie/Babe will be laid to rest next to George at Mountain View Cemetery. A celebration of life will be hosted by the Elkettes on Jan. 11, 2016, at the Mountain Home Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. #2276. Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home.
