IDWR looking to create new water district

According to the Idaho Department of Water Resources, water measurement and monitoring is needed in and around the Mountain Home Ground Water Management Area to manage water resources.

The Idaho Department of Water Resources scheduled a meeting for Jan. 12 to discuss plans to create a new water district encompassing most of the southern third of Elmore County.

The meeting begins at 6 p.m. that evening at the Hampton Inn in Mountain Home.
