Heroes, villains gather during Halloween carnival

A motley collection of gallant superheroes, sinister villains and the living dead came together Saturday evening for some good-spirited fun during a yearly community festival.
They gathered at Hacker Middle School during this year's Super Safe Halloween Carnival -- a community event hosted by the city parks and recreation department.
