City considers plans to regulate drones, RC aircraft

In addition to issues regarding drones and remote-controlled aircraft in city limits, the city council addressed plans to repave a stretch of East 6th South Street across from Mountain Home Junior High School.

Plans that could regulate the use of flying model aircraft and helicopter drones around Mountain Home remain on hold after the city council tabled the discussion during a meeting Oct. 13.
The Mountain Home airport board recently recommended that the city's airport manager receive the authority to regulate these unmanned aircraft in local airspace.
